ubian Heritage was started by Richelieu Dennis and Nyema Tubman in the early 1990’s. They began as street vendors in Harlem, New York. Today their products include a wide variety of different soaps, body washes, hand creams, and lotions that are sold around the globe.
The Lemongrass & Tea Tree Lotion, along with a few other ingredients, contains orange extract and vitamin E. The bottle says it is for use on oily to normal/combination complection, and that “daily use will result in brighter healthier skin.”
Since I have somewhat oily skin, I use this as a facial moisturizer every morning. I can attest to the fact that my skin has benefitted from it’s use. It is softer, and seems to be less oily than usual. The lotion absorbs quite quickly, and leaves no greasy residue. Additionally, it has a very refreshing fragrance because it contains lemongrass essential oil, tea tree oil, and a noticable scent from the orange oil.
The main ingredient in the lotion is certified organic Shea butter. Shea butter is used as a base ingredient in all of Nubian Heritage’s products. It’s anti-aging, healing, and moisturizing properties make it desirable to have in any skin care product.
Though not all of the ingredients in the Lemongrass & Tea Tree Lotion are organic, Nubian Heritage uses ingredients that are fair trade, sustainably produced, and are not tested on animals. These are criteria that I always look for in a product.
Sold at around $10 for a 13oz bottle, it is much more affordable than a number of other moisturizers I have used in the past, and the quality is superior.
If you have been seeking out a lotion that leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized, leaves no greasy residue, and smells great, then look no further. The Nubian Heritage Lemongrass & Tea Tree Lotion is definitely worth adding to your daily personal care routine.
