I have tried quite a few other salted dark chocolate bars in the past, and often times the salt/chocolate ratio is off. Either there is too much or too little salt. However, in these Theo chocolate bars, there was just the right amount. Additionally, they have a great melt-in-your-mouth quality.
Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Classic Bars – This chocolate bar is delicious and very moreish. After enjoying the first piece, something about it makes you want to go back for more. I believe it was the salt, which left a tingling taste sensation on the tongue!
Salted Almond Dark Chocolate Classic Bars – Though similar to the Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Classic Bars, the addition of almonds brought an extra element of crunchiness to this chocolate bar. Just one or two pieces should be enough to keep a chocolate or salt craving satisfied.
All of the ingredients in both bars, excluding the sea salt, are organic. Each of the 42g bars are pre-divided into 8 squares of chocolate, and though the squares are a little big, they are easy to snap in half for a smaller, bite-sized piece. My whole family loved these Theo chocolate bars, and despite my best efforts to hide some for later, they soon got devoured!
The Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Classic Bar and Salted Almond Dark Chocolate Classic Bar are a tasty treat that will definitely bring a delightfully sweet and salty tingle to your taste buds. With the addition of being organic, fair trade, and non-GMO, I personally think that these two chocolate bars, although not raw, are some of the best “healthy” and delicious vegan chocolate bars out there.
These Theo chocolate bars cost around $4 each. They can be purchased at Whole Foods, health food stores, and other locations. To find where you can purchase Theo Chocolate, visit the store locator on their website.
